About the Author Deirdre Breakenridge

Deirdre Breakenridge is an author and the CEO of Pure Performance Communications. A 25+ year veteran in PR and marketing, she has published five Prentice Hall and Financial Times Press books including her latest titles, “Social Media and Public Relations: Eight New Practices for the PR Professional” and “Putting the Public Back in Public Relations: How Social Media Is Reinventing the Aging Business of PR.” Breakenridge speaks nationally and internationally on the topics of PR, branding, and social media. She is an adjunct professor at UMASS and Rutgers University. She is also a video author with three PR courses released in 2015 / 2016. Breakenridge has been blogging since 2007 and is the host of the podcast show, Women Worldwide.
